(SDG 11, SDG 13, SDG 17) Press Conference after COP 26

The Risk Society and Policy Research Center of NTU has long been concerned with low-carbon transition governance. After the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), The Risk Society and Policy Research Center held a press conference sharing its observation and analysis of COP 26 and Taiwan’s net zero trajectories, inviting Academia Sinica’s experts and scholars, members of the Legislative Yuan, and chairman of the Taiwan Youth Climate Coalition to discuss Taiwan’s path to reducing carbon emission and the challenges that come with it.


(SDG 11, SDG 13)
On December 1, 2021, NTU held a forum discussing volcanic activities and hazard potential in the sea and land areas of northern Taiwan. The forum invited 11 moderators and panelists from 8 different government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and academic fields to exchange and discuss issues such as volcanic activities in Northern Taiwan, potential geological hazards, and northern land-sea tectonic connection patterns.


(SDG 3) “Facing COVID-19 and Beyond” Conference

On April 8, 2021, NTU School of Medicine and Epidemic Prevention Research Center held the conference “Facing COVID-19 and Beyond”, inviting domestic and foreign experts in various fields to share their takes on the pandemic.
