NTU conducts directly to maintain and extend existing ecosystems and their biodiversity, of both plants and animals, especially the ecosystems under threat.

NTU assisted the Ocean Conservation Administration on the 4-year “Taiwan Oleanonic ecosystems Monitoring Project.” By working closely with agencies across the fields, collecting fisheries and ecosystem data through professional research and development technology and monitoring the diversity and the changes in microplastics in the ocean.

NTU researcher Gwo Wen Hwang conducted a research project that analyzes the ecosystem, water quality, hydrology, wetland environmental education, and community participation at the Shuanglianpi Wetland. Through the wetland environmental education volunteer training, farm workshops, agricultural education, and wetland environmental education courses, as well as investigating the ecosystem of the Shuanglianpi Wetland, Researcher Huang aimed to detail the ecological richness of plants, amphibians, reptiles, insects and fish in Shuanglianpi through ecological survey.
