NTU offers educational programme or outreach for local or national communities on sustainable management of fisheries, aquaculture and tourism.

Evidence : (Free/Paid)NTU has multiple research teams working towards sustainable fisheries. Many of the NTU faculty members serve as members of the relevant committees, organize activities related to sustainable fisheries, and publish books on fisheries science.

NTU associate profession Yi-Jay Chang has been re-elected as the Billfish Working Group deputy chairman at the International Scientific Committee for Tuna and Tuna-like Species in the North Pacific Ocean, leading the research of fishery science.

(Free) NTU Institute of Fisheries Science organized events promoting and teaching eel farming, inviting local fishermen to share knowledge about aquaculture industry and eel farming, ocean resources and culture through the demonstration of eel cuisines.

(Paid) Students and faculty members of the NTU Institute of Fisheries Science co-authored the textbook Introduction to Fisheries Science. The book is an introduction to the basics of modern fisheries science for students of fisheries sciences or related studies, as well as the general public.
